Spiral and Wire-O binding for magazines and booklets.
Spiral Binding, also known as Coil Binding are used at PCA magazine printing company in Florida for many types of booklets such as presentations, recipe books, story books and reference books. This type of bound book is nice because each page lays perfectly flat when opened and thumbing through pages is made a whole lot easier. The continuous spiral wire is looped through a series of holes that are punched out of the pages to form the spine and binding of the book. We have several sizes and colors to choose from to bind your book with. Our Spiral binding equipment makes it fast and economical for your company to spiral bind large quantities of books.
Wire-O Binding is similar to Spiral binding but the binding is a series of twin loops that are inserted into the pre-cut holes and then locked together. There are less holes in Wire-O binding, usually 2 per inch. The Wire-O Binding is preferred by some who like the ease at which the pages turn and you also have a more secure, and stiff binding vs. Spiral bound books. It just depends on what you are printing, how thick the paper is and how you want it presented.
